I LOVE ITALY

BIG CITIES
In Italy we can found important cities of world like as Rome, Florence, Pisa, Milan, Venice, etc.

Its capital is the beautiful Rome, with a great amount of history that reunite its streets with old roman monuments.

LENGUAJE AND ECONOMY

Its main language is italian, but like in Spain there are different modalities of italian according to the region where you are.

And the currency they use is the euro, as in much of Europe.

Its economy can be said that like other countries in the European Union is in crisis but that little by little is recovering and struggles to move forward.

EMPLOYMENT RATES
The rate of employment of young people between 15 and 25 years is over 16.9 percent, is a low rate but not bad in relation to the crisis they suffer as in Spain.

VISAS, WORK AND RESIDENCE PERMITS

To work in Italy it is not necessary to carry out any previous procedure. The community citizen can enter the country and look for work in the first three months of stay because in European Union there are free movement. If you dont find work, you can stay longer as long as you prove that you are looking for a job, but you must register in your usual residence for which it is necessary to have health coverage.
It is important to note that in Italy the European Health Card is not accepted for this procedure.

PRICES
Looking at the economic side, traveling to Italy is easy. You can go by bus from 9 euros and fly there from 33 euros on low cost trips.
Living there can have different costs, you can find flats from 200 euros for rent.

WORK SITES
The places where more employment opportunities can be found are in the north of the country, so it is advisable to start there.
It`s possible to go to provincial employment centers or centers approved private employment and temporary employment agencies, which in Italy are called Agenzie di Lavoro Interinale.

These day we were visiting different suppliers and watching the novelty in jewelry to 2017.

This short trip I has served to give me has of the importance of the english, with Italian exhibitors, it was easy to understand but had another large number of exhibitors from China, Turkey or Thailand which only spoke english and at times with my level of English was difficult communicat whit them.

My purpose is next year get the B1 not is a hight level but is better than my actually english.

As anecdote in the form for enter to the fair appears the term CEO, this is a new term in the world of the companies and it caught my attention because never I see this term in "important" things.

Rosa Parks vs Apartheid

THE HISTORY OF ROSA PARKS

Watching the video about Martin Luther King delivering the mythic speech of “I have a dream” against american apartheid I came to mind the pioneer of the struggle against racial segregation, Rosa Parks.
In the fifties, in USA black people couldn’t share the same public places with white people: schools, restaurants...inclusive it was forbidden the entry in the restrooms. A huge discrimination in order to make feel inferior and marginalised to people of color.

THE BUS INCIDENT
Segregation reached to such an extent that on the buses black people and white people were separated by a line. White people in the front part and black people on the back. Black people had to get on the bus, pay,  get down and back up through the back door. But But one day, the tailor Rosa Parks ,very tired, took the bus to return home and she sat in the middle seats but where a white man got on the bus the driver told Rosa Parks and three black men that they all had to get up from their seats, thing that established the law, but she refused. the police arrived to arrest her for disturbing public law. She was damned to pay a penalty and she spent the night in the hole. All for not accept that four people stood so that one white person could sit.

THE LEGACY OF ROSA PARKS
How was something unusual, the case transcended publicly, arriving to a young baptist pastor, until then unknown,  Martin Luther King, who organized a wave of protest against apartheid. One year after  what happened on that bus in the city of Montgomery, Alabama, any type of racial discrimination in public places was abolished.

What Does the Human Resources Department Do?

The human resources staff handles many of the matters pertaining to the employees of a company, such as recruiting and benefits management, they also work with management to help develop long-term strategies for the growth and development of a company. RHR departments often act as a middleman between employees and management .

The RHR department often helps coordinate training and mentoring programs to further develop employee skills. Training programs may be developed in-house, depending on the resources within the company, or might be outsourced.
RHR staff may play a role in employee performance reviews, handle employee complaints, help resolve disputes and monitor employee remediation programs.
For companies with union employees, RHR often oversees union contracts and assists management with union negotiations. Many companies offer employee assistance programs that provide counseling and help for a variety of personal issues.

Human resource management is therefore focused on a number of major areas, including:

  • Recruiting and staffing
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Training and learning
  • Labor and employee relations
  • Organization development

Today’s human resource management team is responsible for much more than traditional personnel or administrative tasks.
Instead, members of a human resource management team are more focused on adding value to the strategic utilization of employees and ensuring that employee programs are impacting the business in positive and measurable ways.

WAGES

This evaluation we have studied the payrolls in human resources.
In this topic appears a lot of vocabulary that we have translated for HDI.
For exemple:
 compensation
 settlement
 regulatory base
 base salary
 extra hours

We have also learned to make payrolls of different real cases that we can do at work.

This theme is very useful because it is related to our daily work.

Social security

In this evaluation we have given social security in the HRM module (Human Resources Management).

Social security is a set of measures that society provides its members with the aim of avoiding economic and social imbalances that, if not resolved, would mean the reduction or loss of income due to contingencies such as illness, accidents, Maternity or unemployment, among others.

Principles on which social security is based:

Universality: It shall apply to all persons established by law.

Unity: All elements will be coordinated to achieve their objectives.

Solidarity: Situations of need will be covered by the total contributions to the system.

Equal treatment: Total absence of discrimination, both in rights and obligations.
